Martin Stephenson & The DainteesMartin Stephenson and The Daintees were discovered busking outside Newcastle’s HMV store one Friday afternoon and recorded their first single by the Sunday. Stephenson was one of the great eccentrics and their live shows became a huge draw sometimes lasting up to three hours featuring a mixture of jazz, folk, blues and occasionally pure music hall.
