Burnham on Crouch in deepest Essex is not the expected place to find the next great singer/songwriter, but 20 year old Kate Walsh, possessed of a lyrical maturity beyond her years, was discovered here by producer Lee Russell. He noticed her amazing potential and secured her in an immediate publishing deal with Warner Chappell. Lee encouraged Kate to sing her songs and enhanced the stunning simplicity of her lyrics. This led to a deal with Kitchenware Records for her first album 'Clocktower Park'.
